At Tullson’s Hands of Time Safe & Vault Restoration LLC, we are dedicated to preserving history, securing valuables, and delivering expert craftsmanship in every project we undertake. With over 15 years of experience, our family-owned business specializes in the restoration, relocation, and security of safes and vaults, blending traditional techniques with modern precision.
Who are you and why should I trust Tullson's Safe Restorations, LLC?
How many projects have you completed?
What types of safes do you restore?
We specialize in antique and vintage safes (1800’s-1960’s), including popular brands like Mosler, Diebold, Hall’s, J.J. Taylor, and other historic models. We handle gun safes, bank vault doors, home heirlooms, and collector pieces—focusing on preserving historical authenticity while restoring full functionality.
How long does a restoration take?
Timelines vary by project scope and current demand. Our Premium Line offers an estimated 120-day turnaround from approval to completion for expedited, high-priority work. Our Standard Line provides excellent quality on a regular schedule, often with lead times of 24 months or more due to high demand—this suits clients without time constraints who prefer a thorough, no-rush approach.
Can you open a locked safe if I've lost the combination or key?
Yes—we provide professional, non-destructive safe cracking (manipulation) services for locked-out situations. Our experts use skilled techniques on antique mechanical locks to regain access without unnecessary damage. This is ideal for forgotten combinations, stuck mechanisms, or lost keys.
How much does a restoration cost?
Costs depend on the safe’s size, condition, brand, required repairs, and custom options (like paint, gold leaf, or woodwork). We provide detailed, no-obligation quotes after reviewing photos and details. Contact us with images, measurements and a description for an accurate estimate.
Will restoration affect the safe's value or historical integrity?
We prioritize preservation. Our work honors the safe’s original heritage through accurate repairs, period-appropriate finishes, and authentic recreation of details. Many clients see restored safes gain value as functional heirlooms or collector pieces—especially with our handcrafted custom elements that enhance uniqueness without compromising history.
How do I get started?
Send us clear photos of your safe (exterior, interior, lock, any markings/damage), along with details about its condition, measurements, brand, and your goals (e.g., full restoration, paint refresh, lock repair). We’ll review and provide guidance, a timeline estimate, and a quote. We’re here to make the process straightforward and rewarding.
